The first goal is to keep all abrasive materials off the floor to avoid damage. Use track off matting at entries. Require clean soft soled footwear for gym users and provide mats for others walking to seating for games and events. Wide area treated dust mops are assets and microfiber dust mops will do a good job as well. Wood floors, even sealed ones, don’t like a lot of water dumped on them so use scrub machines infrequently and with light solution flows. Damp mopping can handle most small pickups from spills.
