Question

I believe I have cellulosic browning. When I washed my Berber rug, it turned a reddish color. Can this be corrected?

Answer

I'd recommend that you contact a professional rug cleaning company to verify your suspicion and correct the problem. If you really want to try to correct it
on your own, contact a local carpet cleaning or janitorial supply distributor. They should carry products that will remove cellulosic browning. Buy a quart or a gallon and follow label directions.
