The answer to that question varies based on the following factors: Do you “team” clean or “zone” clean (i.e., each custodian responsible for an area)? How clean do you want your facility? What kind of cooperation do you receive from your teachers/staff/students? What methods do your custodians use (upright vs. backpack vacuum, for example)? So, I will share with you that in California the average is around 20,000 square feet a night for zone cleaning, and with team cleaning, we often see three elementary schools cleaned each evening. You can also refer to the current issue of American School & University Journal for their M/O study. Perry Shimanoff Mc2sancarlos@msn.com |
