Question

What are the going prices for chemical mold remediation vs. dry ice blasting on new construction, sq. ft. wise?

Answer

Mold appears on flat surfaces such as drywall, but in many instances will also cover trusses and framing which present several sides or surfaces that must be cleaned. I suspect accurate pricing of mold remediation will involve more than running sq. ft. numbers.
Not having done any serious mold remediation, I canít offer much guidance on pricing for either system. Instead, Iíll tell you what we tell almost all pricing inquirers; get adequate training from mold remediation specialists. You can search www.iicrc.org or www.iaqa.org/mold_remediation_worker_course.htm for training opportunities.
Once you have some training and learn what you need to do to complete the work, you will have a better idea of what you must invest for equipment and supplies, what time is involved in doing the job, and you can more readily determine what pricing is needed by your operation to do quality work and make a profit.
