| A client recently purchased a used home with 1500 sq. ft. of 3/4 oak flooring that is in good shape and wants us to refinish the floors with a high gloss finish. How should we clean it and what should we charge since the home is empty? |

This is normally charged by the square foot at around $1.50 to $2.00. Check around with others in your local area to see what the going rate is for this type of service. It can be prepared by a light sanding, followed by tack clothing, and application of the high gloss polyurethane. Always follow the finish manufacturer’s instructions as to surface prep and application.
