Question

I have recently been offered an opportunity to clean half (9 of the 18) of a Multiplex theater. The offer requires the work to be completed by 9AM. (Earliest start time is 2AM) What is the most efficient means of completing this and doing a great job using 1 or 2 person team? Please include where to start, how to start, suggestions on equipment, chemicals, and any resources I may use to learn more about cleaning cinemas. During the initial very short meeting resulting in this offer I was told that using a blower to clean the theaters was necessary, and occasionally we must vacuum the theater walls. As this is a second job, time is extremely important along with the sense of providing quality service.

Answer

The most efficient way of cleaning a movie theater is to do so after each showing and not wait until the end of the day when the litter left by patrons is extensive, and spills and such have gone uncleaned for hours. Since you cannot do that, expect to spend more time in litter and spill removal.
Your note shows you are concerned with two areas, the theaters themselves and the hallway in the wing in which they are located. Two persons could share the work, thereby cutting down on the time you are in the building. If you need time to rest up for another job, you may want to consider adding another team of two to the work crew.
One mop setup will cover the tile areas. Do you have the buffer for the tile or do they supply it? The only caution about using a blower to move all the trash and litter to the front for pickup, is that a blower will push over partially filled soda cups and any thing else the airstream hits, making a greater mess than you started with. My suggestion would be to physically pick up all containers and large pieces of litter before blowing or, even better, vacuuming up the light material. The use of a back pack vacuum will speed up the cleaning and allow for easy wall vacuuming when it is needed. It will also simplify vacuuming the seats if they are fabric covered.
