I've seen recommendations for using nail polish remover, baking soda paste, lighter fluid, mineral spirits and even WD-40, so there may be a chemical assist with one of these. However, before adding anything to the finished surface that may damage it or make it slick, I'd try the dry eraser method. Rub the mark with a non-marking shoe sole on your foot, a tennis ball on a stick, or some other type of gentle abrasive device. The black heel material probably will come right off and with little mess.
