Question

What do I charge to mop and buff 16,000 square ft. of tile floor?

Answer

If you are using a 24 oz. mop head and damp mopping, you can cover about 5,000 sq. ft. an hour. At that rate, you will need about 2.25 hours to cover that space.
If you are dry buffing with a 17 inch rotary, you can do a 1000 sq. ft. in 30 minutes and therefore you will need about 5.5 hours to do that floor.
If you charge $40 a hour for your work, you will need to charge $320 for the 8 hours you will spend.
Please note this recommendation is for three "ifs", because I don't have any way of knowing the validity of either the production rates or the hourly rate I used. They may be close or they may be way off.
You should be able to offer more details, and if you don't have them, get them before pricing any service.
