| I would like to know the procedure for the use of an Advance 1500 rpm burnisher. Do I just walk in straight line with the machine?

Yes, a high-speed burnisher runs on the back wheels, so you will push it straight forward and pull it backward. Since burnishing is new to you, here are a few precautions: 1) Read the manufacturer’s manual for safety tips. 2) Make sure there are at least 3-4 coats of floor finish and that it is compatible with burnishing. 3) Select the correct UHS pad to match the finish, as pad aggression levels vary - aqua, gray, beige, tan, or pink. 4) Make sure the pad is centered to prevent wobble. 5) Dust mop and then damp mop the floor with a suitable restorer, thermo plastic conditioner or maintainer designed for burnishing. 6) Use a scraper or razor blade to remove gum, adhesive, and tar. 7) Make slow, straight-line passes until desired gloss level is obtained. 8) Do not hold the machine in one spot as burns may occur. 9) Change or clean pads as required. 10) Do not run the machine over protrusions such as floor plugs, thresholds, etc. as pad and/or machine damage will occur. 11) Dust mop floors thoroughly after burnishing. 12) Continue with scrub and top coat operations so finish does not wear off, exposing bare floors.
