Question

I need to know how much can I charge to clean mini-blinds and fluorescent lamp fixtures.

Answer

It depends on variety of factors. How will you do the work? How many are there? How difficult are they to remove and reinstall? How soiled are they and with what type of soil? What are your costs? How much profit and overhead do you need? And the list goes on.
Mini-blinds cleaned with an ultrasonic unit will be done quickly, but you have the expense of buying and maintaining the unit or contracting with someone else for the service. Sometimes transportation costs are involved. Washing them by hand or in a special enclosure involves another whole set of time and expense charges.
To figure the fluorescent lamp fixture charges, clean one or two fixtures as a test, then multiply the time by the number of fixtures involved. Then multiple the time by the hourly rate you will pay someone to do the work. That will be the base labor cost to which you must add the labor related costs of worker’s comp, social security contribution, etc.
Now add in your supply costs, your overhead cost, and profit and you will know EXACTLY what you should and need to charge.
As for averages, I've heard of people charging anywhere from $2.00 to $20.00 per light fixture or blind. It all depends on a variety of factors.
